Overselling is basically offering and selling more than what you have (like an airline overbooking). Your provider is banking that you won't be using the resources you paid for. Our question is, why pay for something you are not going to use? And what would happen if these users actually start using these resources? The server will overload and collapse as it simply is not able to cope with the demand. The major problem with overselling is you will never know how many resources another user is consuming and if there will be anything left for you. You paid for the service and you deserve every bit of it.
